Mr Popper's Penguins Movie

Mr Popper's Penguins is an upcoming comedy movie directed by Mark Waters. It's a modern take on the book of the 1938 children's book of the same name written by Richard and Florence Atwater. Actor Jim Carrey got the lead role as Mr Popper, now a high-powered businessman who suddenly inherits six penguins. Besides Carrey, the film is also starring Carla Gugino, Ophelia Lovibond, and Philip Baker Hall. The movie Mr Popper's Penguins will be released on August 12, 2011.

Plot:
"The life of a businessman begins to change after he inherits six penguins, and as he transforms his apartment into a winter wonderland, his professional side starts to unravel."

In the original book Mr Popper was actually a poor painter, and I doubt a businessman will really make for a more interesting character.... But since the talented Jim Carrey got the lead role, I don't really mind the change: his performance will for sure win me over. I'm confident indeed that the movie Mr Popper's Penguins will be as great as Jim Carrey's Yes Man.
